Holly Holsten (Convenor)

Teachers Diploma in Occupational Therapy. Dip.Ed. Ther.Voc.(UP)
Nat.Dip.OT (Pretoria College of Occupational Therapy).

My development as an occupational therapist has always been enfolded by the levels of creative ability, they belong to my occupational therapy identity. Since starting my training as an occupational therapist, I have been fascinated and intrigued by its philosophy, its clear and logical thought and also its complexity. Being a generalist and having worked in the main fields of practice, I have realized the applicability of the levels of creative ability in all fields of practice. Even more stunning is the realization that the levels of creative ability are of value in all life situations. I could not perform occupational therapy without the levels of creative ability.

Mandate:

  • To investigate current VdTMOCA Training & Continuing Education.
  • To provide guidance and monitoring of courses as requested/needed.
  • To promote & support knowledge acquisition and skills development through facilitating training, conferences, workshops, short courses in VdTMOCA.

Having been fieldworker and avid follower of the late Vona du Toit, her passion rubbed off onto her scholars. My current passion is the exploration and development of higher levels that have been largely untapped to date.
