V&MdTF Global Associates

October 9, 2015admin

The V&MdTF has a close, collegial, working relationship with the VdTMoCAF (UK), a UK based not-for-profit Community Interest Company which serves the community of occupational therapy practitioners and educators with an interest in the Vona du Toit Model of Creative Ability.

The VdTMoCAF (UK) has been established with the approval of the Vona and Marie du Toit Foundation in South Africa.  Representatives of the 2 Foundations have met formally and affirmed the commitment of the 2 Foundations to work collaboratively to develop the VdTMOCA to its full potential both nationally and internationally. This includes sharing of all information/data bases, input into meeting agendas and publications, UK membership of RSA V&MdTFoundation task teams; collaboration and direct  linkages of websites and interest groups. Collaboration further exists in the areas of, research,   professional support and issues around theory and practice . Wendy Sherwood, the lead director  of the VdTMoCAF (UK) has been a prime mover in establishing not only this foundation but also other structures ( (MCAIG and ICAN) and  programmes in the UK promoting and researching the VdTMoCA;  she has established strong ties with Japan and actively supports their development in the use of the Model.

OT’s from the UK are regular presenters at SA conferences with South African experts in the Model regularly participating in the UK based International VdTMoCA conferences and other activities and projects.

The VdTMoCAF(UK) print and sell the book “Volition and Action in Occupational Therapy” by Vona du Toit under licence of the V&MdTF
